3. Chromium plated iron: Wuxi steel sheet has been in a wandering state since it was popularized to China in the 1980s. It was not widely used until 2000. The reason is that the processing performance of chromium plated iron in iron printing coating is obviously better than that of tin plated iron. With the wide use of coated iron, especially in bottle caps, chrome plated iron has attracted more attention. The characteristics of chrome plated iron are:

(1) the can making processing and corrosion resistance of the substrate are the same as those of tinplate

(2) in coating processing, it is unnecessary to consider the problem of tin melting like tinplate, and a higher baking temperature can be used to improve the printing and coating production efficiency

(3) the adhesion to the film is better than that of tinplate

(4) its surface is a very thin metal chromium layer and hydrated chromium oxide layer, and the thickness is only about 1% of the tin layer of tinplate. Therefore, it is very easy to rust. Therefore, without coating processing, there is no practical value of chromium plated iron

(5) because it is Wuxi sheet, tin resources are saved, which is in line with the development direction of tinplate
